US 27 Multimodal Corridor
Florida's Future Corridors
The effort is part of a broader statewide Future Corridors planning process to envision and plan the future of Florida’s major statewide transportation corridors. As part of the Future Corridors planning process FDOT developed statewide Guiding Principles for Planning the Future of Florida’s Transportation Corridors which will serve as the policy foundation for the US 27 Multimodal Corridor effort. The Guiding Principles are organized by the 4Cs: Conservation, Countryside, Centers and Communities, and Corridors.
This effort furthers the State Comprehensive Plan, the Florida Strategic Plan for Economic Development, the Florida Transportation Plan, and other statewide plans that call for coordinated decision-making and investments to address Florida's long-term economic development, environmental stewardship, community development, and infrastructure needs on a statewide and regional basis.
